I came back to running in my 40s and it changed my life.
What started as getting fitter quickly became something much bigger, a way to push myself, clear my head, and prove to myself what I was capable of.
I fell in love with trail and ultra running, and discovered that the lessons running teaches you don't stay on the trail. They carry into everything.
I also learned that just running wasn't enough. Adding strength work, dialling in my nutrition, and working on my mindset transformed my performance, and my everyday life. I felt stronger, sharper and more resilient than I had in years.
In 2018 I decided I wanted to help other runners find what I'd found. I trained as a Personal Trainer while working full time, then kept going, adding running coaching, nutrition and endurance qualifications to be able to help people properly, not just scratch the surface.
Today I coach runners from complete beginners to accomplished ultra runners, helping them hit goals they once thought were out of reach. I still run regularly myself, from 5k to ultra marathon distance, mostly on trails, so I understand exactly what you're going through.
Outside of running, you'll find me walking, hiking, organising the Brutal Run events and volunteering at events across the UK.
