During the five months I have worked with Phill I have gained a huge amount of knowledge and confidence from him.
We started by looking at my nutrition and he quickly identified a calorie deficit for the level of training I was doing. However he also gave me the knowledge of what types of food I should be eating not just to close the deficit but doing it in the best way for my body.
Phill also gave me information on race nutrition which has really helped on my ultras and given me stamina to continue running right to the end of my races.
Finally he put together a really easy to follow training plan which combined a real mix of running with strength excercises. This approach has really pushed me and I have seen better race results too.

Started working with Phill when I got a marathon place. I’d fallen out of my running routine due to past injuries and loosing focus.
Since starting back my knowledge on running pace & efficiency has improved along with nutrition and running focused strength training.
My mindset is now back on point with my goal and my running endurance is exactly where it needs to be to execute that goal. I’m really enjoying working with Phil and his flexible approach to my training and look forward to seeing exactly what I can accomplish!

Had my first 30 day review with Phill Young this morning reflecting on what I’ve achieved so far this year. I’m generally quite self deprecating, but I’m proud that I’ve lost over a stone in weight, have increased my strength and have significantly improved my parkrun time from just over 30 mins to 26:30.
Having the structure and support is definitely helping me keep myself accountable. Looking forward to seeing what I can do in the next few months.
